Podcasts to help understand the investment environment

The world is changing continually and investments and investment strategies need to adapt to these changes.  With the significant change in US politics as the result of the 2024 US election and the rapid evolution of AI, in many areas, it is important that investors are continually updated on what is happening in the world and how this might affect investments.

Your fund managers are continually monitoring, questioning and learning.  But many of our clients also want to understand more about what is happening.  We listen to a lot of podcasts that help us understand what may happen.  This blog post has links to podcasts that we think are particularly interesting to understand what the environment might look like this year (and beyond).

These are all also available on spotify.  Please let us know if you would like more podcast ideas as we come across them.

The New York Times (NYT) 'Daily' Podcast - Big Tech's Big Bet on Trump.

This podcast put a lot into perspective of the thinking from Big Tech - explaining their experiences in the last 8 years and what they want to see happening in the future, and why Trump is their man to do this.  https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/big-techs-big-bet-on-trump/id1200361736?i=1000683767043

Dealbook Summit - this Summit is run by the NYT and there are a number of speakers that talked in depth about their vision for the future and about AI.  Here are some of the speakers that we found particularly informative:

The A.I. Revolution - A panel of leading voices in A.I., including experts on capabilities, safety and investing, and policy and governance, tease out some of the big debates over the future of A.I and try to find some common ground.
