Dying is not something that we like to think about. But when we are dealing with our insurances, it is something that we have to address. It creates a lot of emotions and some people prefer not to think about any of the issues surrounding death.
For other people though, they would prefer to make sure that there are no burdens on their family when they do die. They make sure that they have enough insurance cover in place to look after the people that they love.
Another thing that you can do is to write down some notes and instructions for your funeral. In New Zealand, there are a number of legal requirements when you die. There is information that is required to register your death. This information is listed in the Funeral Planner Document, so that you can collect this information to make things easier for your loved ones.
But the Funeral Planner also gives you the opportunity to plan your own funeral, have things the way that you would like.
To use the Funeral Planner, download it below, print out and complete and store somewhere safe. Make sure that your family knows that it exists. Scan it and save it on your computer, send it to your family.
If you have any questions, just email us at insure@moneyworks.co.nz and we will do our best to help you.
